This blog was thought up by a group of friends who met on another challenge blog that closed. We missed the challenges there and decided that it would be nice to challenge each other by collecting ideas and putting them all into a hat to draw one out each week as a challenge. Now Closed as a challenge blog but here for inspiration for now

Challenge 53-Faces

Hello Everyone and a big welcome to our new followers.

A Happy Easter to Everyone

We are so pleased that some of you joined in with us for our Birthday Celebration and had such wonderful ideas. Many of you have become friends over the year and we hope you will continue to be friends and that we meet many more during the next year at the Hatters

It is Tracey's last week with us and it has been wonderful having her as a guest designer and seeing all the things that she made for our challenges.

This week Sandra has chosen Faces for the theme so lots and lots of choices for this challenge. We look forward to seeing what you come up with.

Here are the things that we made and if you click on the name under the pictures you can go to our blogs and see more about how we made them.

Challenge 52-Hatter's 1st Birthday -Game

Hello Everyone and welcome to all of our followers and friends. As you can see it is our first birthday here and we are so pleased to have had such a wonderful year. We have enjoyed crafting together with you and with each other and hope it will be continuing for many more years. Always great to see what you make for the challenges and so pleased that you join in and share your ideas and inspiration.

To our new followers - do join in with any challenges you fancy-we love to see what you make of our ideas.

Terrific ideas last week from the people who joined us for the Easter Bonnet challenge and it is always great to have you share with us here at the Hatters.

Tracey is still with us as guest designer for March and she is making some lovely things for us to share.

This week we are having a party game for our birthday challenge.

Janet first had this idea and it has been jiggled a bit by me for us to have as a challenge.

The idea is for you to save this and print it out---

--then you can add a cocktail stick and give it a spin to see which theme you land on. You don't need to do that if you don't want to, just chose one of the themes on the spinner picture and make whatever you like using that theme. Then when you have made something simple add the link to your entry by clicking on the frog at the bottom of this post.

It would be lovely if you left a Happy Birthday Hatters comment if you pop in this week.

Here are what we all made and if you click on the names under the pictures you can go to see more about what we made.

Happy Crafting All

Challenge51-Easter Bonnet

Hello everyone hope your week has gone well and that you are ready for our new challenge. A big welcome to our new followers-hope you like what you find here at the Hatters

What terrific things you made for the Friends and Friendship challenge last week. It was a good subject for the Hatters as we do think of people who join in with us, or even leave a comment, as our friends.

We still have Tracey with us again so she wasn't frightened off by the March challenges. It is lovely to have her join us as a guest designer for this month. Thank you Tracey and thanks to Janet for the idea and arranging it all.

This week the challenge is Easter Bonnet. Not an easy one really but you can make anything you like that says 'Easter Bonnet' to you

These are the ones we made and if you click on the names under the pictures you will be able to see more about what we have made.

Challenge 50-friends and friendships

Hello Friends and Followers, great to have you here with us again for our weekly challenge.

'Hanging Out' was an enjoyable subject and some wonderful ideas you shared with us. A warm welcome to anyone who visits and to new followers.

This week we are asking you to think of Friends and Friendship. Sandra chose this theme and I know that we three Hatters have become great friends since the start of Out of a Hat which is almost a year old.

Janet thought it would be nice to invite some guest designers to join us for a month at a time. This month we have Tracey Bancroft joining us and it will be great for all of us to get to know her I'm sure.

This is what Tracey sent as an introduction:-

I'm Tracey and I am a lover and addict of all things altered art and paper crafting.  I live in Suffolk England and have a 9 to 5 office job that gets in the way of my creative passion, thankfully I also have a very understanding man in my life

We look forward to seeing what Tracey makes for our challenges and thank her for agreeing to join us this month. Thank you also to Janet for the idea and for arranging the guests and organising when they will join in with us.

These are our ideas for this week's challenge and we hope you will join us with your take on it.

If you click on our names under the pictures you will be able to go to our blogs and learn more about the projects we made. To join us with yours click on the frog at the bottom of this post and add your link.
